Kjersten Forseth has over two decades of political and legislative experience in Montana, Colorado, and Nevada. She was Chief of Staff for the Colorado Senate Democrats, Political and Legislative Director for the Colorado AFL-CIO, Executive Director of Progress Now Colorado, and most recently Chief Political Strategist with Rocky Mountain Voter Outreach. She has managed and provided consultation to more than 20 campaigns in the West, specializing in field tactics to fight politically motivated recalls, persuasion campaigns on complex ballot issues, and scientifically proven methods to increase voter turnout among low propensity voters. Her campaign background includes work with candidates, ballot issues, independent expenditure committees, union member-to-member canvassing, and non-profit community organizing.

Her approach to lobbying provides training to directly involve members in the legislative process. Proactive major legislative successes include Public Employees' Workplace Protection from Employer Retaliation (2023), creating a State Apprenticeship Agency (2021), Paid Sick Leave (2020), Whistleblower Protection in a Public Health Emergency (2020), Two-person crew on Freight Trains (2019), Just Transition for Coal Impacted Communities (2019), Local Wage Option (2019)

Her specialties include lobbying, legislative strategy, engagement in rulemaking, media relations, grassroots organizing, community engagement, budget planning, campaign planning and strategy, writing, public speaking, public policy, team management, and creating and conducting group training sessions.

Ms. Forseth holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Montana in Political Science.
